They are environmentally friendly products eliminating harsh chemicals. If you are intersted, I would be happy to pass her information on to you. I believe this is her site if interested in looking more into it...
http://healingfromwithin.myshaklee.com/us/en/welcome.html
Judy
P.S. I am proud of you. You are doing a great thing. I'm going to do a larger post ...Thanks Rachel!

I'm going to do a larger post on coconut oil later but for now go to http://kellythekitchenkop.com/category/coconut-benefits-info she has a main page on coconut oil with a link to many recipe ideas. I am almost positive you can substitute it for vegetable oil in everything but I need to double check. We also made the switch to "Jungle Shortening" from Whole Foods (its not expensive) and made from sunflower and palm oils. They are not as good for you as coconut oil but much, much better than vegetable oil.Kim Janoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14221497314198627453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-992636339637458538.post-27932141842522214162009-10-13T06:22:25.608-07:002009-10-13T06:22:25.608-07:00kim, i'm SO glad yesterday was a better day! ...kim, i'm SO glad yesterday was a better day! how wonderful that the kids loved the meal- i know that's a huge victory.
we've been doing local, grass fed meat & eggs for about a year, and have really enjoyed the quality & taste of our foods. it's so worth it! we also do local milk from Heartland Dairy, but i don't know if you can do dairy?
we also switched to real butter & olive oil... i haven't gone to coconut yet, but if if worked in place of vegetable oil, i would! i'd love to know what you're learning in that area!
i'd love to join you in making more foods from scratch- i was making our bread & crackers/chips before matt got sick, but i went into survival mode during his chemo & i never got back to it. i may wait until we're actually in the new house to do that again (stress levels are high right now!), but it would be fun to have a scratch cooking party sometime! i'd love time with you to learn more about all that you've researched- and i'd love to make more changes in the direction of low/no sugar, etc.
love you!
rachelrachel blazerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14851580258556500091noreply@blogger.com
